Laut einem Artikel des IT-Informationsportals Heise.de fordert derzeit das Auktionsportal eBay seine Mitglieder auf, ihr Passwort zu ändern, weil ein Angriff auf eine Datenbank mit Zugangsdaten durch bisher nicht bekannte Personen erfolgt ist. Angeblich hätten sie sich Zugangsdaten von Mitarbeitern besorgt und über das Unternehmensnetzwerk auf eine Datenbank mit verschlüsselten Passwörtern und anderen Accountdaten zugegriffen. Kreditkarten- oder Finanzdaten seien laut eBay angeblich nicht betroffen. Trotzdem fordert das Unternehmen für Online-Auktionen nun aktiv seine Mitglieder dazu auf, ihr Zugangspasswort zu ändern.
Laut einem aktuellen Artikel von Spiegel.de warnen derzeit Experten der IT-Sicherheitsfirma Kaspersky vor Online-Banking mit dem sogenannten mTAN-Verfahren. Bei diesem Verfahren bekommt der Nutzer TANs für Transaktionen beim Online-Banking aufs Handy geschickt. Diese mTANs können über manipulierte Apps auf dem Smartphone des Nutzers von Kriminellen ausspioniert werden.
Wie das IT-Newsportal Golem.de kürzlich berichtete warnt aktuell die Deutsche Telekom vor gefälschten E-Mail Rechnungen, die in deren Namen verschickt werden. Die E-Mails fordern den Empfänger zum Download einer als PDF-Dokument getarnten Schadsoftware auf, die bisher noch nicht von allen Virenscannern erkannt wird. Alledings ist es sehr leicht, die E-Mail als Fälschung zu entlarven.

Wie ZDNet.de kürzlich berichtete hat Microsoft eine Sicherheitswarnung wegen einer Zero-Day-Lücke im Internet Explorer mit den Versionen 6 bis 11 veröffentlicht. Diese Lücke wird nach Angaben des Unternehmens bereits für Angriffe auf IE 9, 10 und 11 ausgenutzt und wird höchstwahrscheinlich unter Windows XP ungepatcht bleiben.
